KC4YEK,
Why not read the Docs on WP and Watch your WP file in the BBS for
a couple of weeks. I have a suspicion that you will find that EVERY msg
that passes through your BBS Updates the WP File the same way the
BBS's that you forward to everyday get updates from your traffic.
Also everytime one of your users types a msg to be sent out from your
BBS evedry BBS that that msg passes thru gets updated automatically.
You will get comments from Sysops and Users who disagree with my
idea but it is that there is only a couple of times in a BBS's life that
it
needs to send out a WP Update Msg.
1. When it is first put on the Air.
2. If you ever have to reinstall the software.
Forwarding Files setup is a thousand times more important than WP
Update msgs these days. If you never send a WP Update Msg your
BBS and it's users will be known in 80% of the BBS,s out there in less
than a month and maybe less if user traffic is heavy.
If you want to send them then by all means do so but realize that the
way
most BBS's operate today updates by themselves are not really necessary.
