 Hi Alan.

 I suppose you use reverse forward when polling him.

 You need to edit two files.

 PORT.SYS:
Set how many minute past the hour the first forward of the hour shall be 
done.
Set 60 minutes between the forwarding attempts.
Example: 15 minutes past the hour = 15/60
(Note: this setting affects all forwarding on this channel)

 FORWARD-file:
Use the IF-statement to set the polling interval.
For example, if you want to poll him  between 10:00 and 10:59 then use:

 IF H 10
  R
ENDIF

 The combination of these settings = polling is done at 10:15 every day.
