Hello Alan.
>From the docs... (http://ftp.f6fbb.org/fbbdoc/docfeatu.htm)
- WinFBB32 is a 32-bit version of WinFBB. For use with Windows NT and
Windows95. Can NOT be used with Windows 3.x !
I don't know if it works under any newer windows versions.
A better OS for FBB is Linux.
Linux has native support for AX25 so it is easy to use packet radio in Linux.
Redhat, Ubuntu, SUSE, etc.. are all linux, just different distributions.
[Linux = kernel only, distribution = kernel + GNU programs (and sometime commercial programs) to make a working system)]
When the Linux-distribution and FBB are installed and running there is no differense between the distributions if you only look at FBB performance.
The major difference between the distributions is how easy the installation is and how easy you can make changes in the system.
Another difference is how big the distribution is (number of GNU programs the distribution has).
Which distribution you choose is just a matter of personal choice.

Most of the newer PC Operating System (OS) comes with Vista or Windows XP.
Will these new OS's work with WinFBB 32.
So what would be a better OS, LINUX - UBUNTO, REDHAT, etc. ?
