[xfbb] ax25 och FC4 (kernel 2.6)

Hi all,

I am running ax25 utils/FBB using KUbuntu and have
absolutely no problems with it. All of the "pty/tty"
are found (saves a lot of headache), and to make it
even more simplier, the "deb" files are available from
the respositories that make it straightforward to edit
for my use and then execute.

I tried Fedora Core 2 back a while ago, and I never
really got it working with ax25 utils/FBB and ran into
the exact problem, "how to create the pty/tty pairs"
that ax25 utils/FBB use. You can create them manually
(even doing that, I had further complications rise
after that), but after restart, they will be deleted
by udev (it is in all releases after Core 1) by
rebooting.

I think you could create a rule to have them created
upon boot time, but I am not too sure of that. For
some reason, SUSE, K/Ubuntu, Mandrake, and other
distributions already have all the pairs created
automatically and are ready to use. So, it is another
possibly of the solution being in the kernel where
recompiling .

The simple solution is to try another distribution
(that is what I did), or try to find the solution in
the kernel and/or try creating udev rules for it.
