Hi... Sorry Ray, I didn't mean that as a correction on your mail. Clicked
on the wrong mail to reply - I wanted to reply to the original poster.

Bob: if you cannot find _any_ epurmess.res (did you try 'locate
epurmess.res'?), then the program is probably not running. Try running it
manually from a terminal window and check if it can find epurmess.ini and
if that file is correctly configured. 

There are still some packages around that used other configuration
locations (from before the move to /etc/ax25/xxx). These cause some
confusion at times.
